Project Mennheim

So, after whole year in the new company I've been assigned a job that I actually like a bit. Not bad , after all those monkey jobs that made me vomit. Not literally but vomiting inside is worse. The puke stays inside. I called it 'Project Mennheim' and it would do as a title of some sci-fi movie. Mennheim is a small city in Germany near Frankfurt. I wanted to call it a shithole but as I'm looking now at the pictures from Mennheim it doesn't look like one at all.

Right now it is nearlyWednesday and knowing myself I'll get sick and bored with this job by Thursday but I'm hoping not to. The job is installing some software on two servers that manage & control others serves but virtual ones. They call it ESxi or Vmware. With all those remote magic tools, some of them I didn't imagine technically possible until I discover them today it is still easier and more convenient to do if you can put your physical hand on the hardware. Therefore I say to my new American friends 'Ok. just get me a flight to Frankfurt and I'll do it.

No, buddy, you will sit on your ass and mange it remotely and ask your German colleagues to press the power on and off when it is needed. The whole job takes less than the length of the flight there.

They must have forgotten that I don't live in US and the flight from where I live takes only 1 hour. Additionally I don't like to cooperate with my german colleagues with their robotic language. Even if they speak English they sound like robots. I don't like anything about Germany. Especially angela shaking hands under the table with that russian psychopathic midget.

 That's it from me.

auf wiedersehen
